Over the span of two decades, I've had the privilege of building a deep connection with this client. Our journey has taken us through five distinctive properties in two countries. Each location presented a canvas for us to craft a unique environment, blending various design styles seamlessly.
This client sought a departure from their classic urban home, opting for a serene northern retreat where they could unwind with family and friends. Our guiding principles have always been simplicity, serenity, comfort, and an abundance of natural light, creating inviting and airy spaces.

Breathtaking Views: Perched halfway down a steep hill, the cottage offers stunning water views through large windows on both levels.
Warm and Inviting: Rich wood elements, from floors to ceilings and cabinetry, infuse warmth into the space while highlighting unique architectural details, like the distinctive 'paper airplane' pattern on the angled ceiling of the great room.
Inspired Colour Palette: The interior colour scheme draws inspiration from the surrounding landscape, with soft greens, birch bark, caramels, soft white, charcoals, and bleached oak.
Seamless Integration: The lower-level bathroom's tile selection reflects the exterior colours, seamlessly blending the outside and inside worlds.
Versatile Screened-In Porch: The screened-in porch features retractable bug screens and metal screens for all seasons. The sliding door system between the dining room and porch effortlessly transforms the space into an additional entertaining room.
Incorporating these elements, this cottage embodies both functionality and aesthetics, offering a harmonious retreat in tune with its natural surroundings.
